NFPA 130:载客轨道车辆的系统要求
由于电缆的火焰蔓延速度及燃烧的破坏长度、烟密度及燃烧所产生的有害毒性气体，对人员的生命逃生起到非常重要的影响。电缆的测试一般通过这些方面来评估。
NFPA130电缆防火阻燃测试关注于如下方面：
UL 1585, AND/UL: 电线电缆的火焰蔓延高度测试，电缆的最大破坏高度不超过
ASTM E 662:烟密度的测试, Ds(4) ≤200 (in the flaming mode) ,Ds(4) ≤75 (in the nonflaming mode)
