Challengethecapabilityofthepackageandproducttowithstandtransporthazards,but
Utilizegeneralsimulationofactualtransporthazards,and
Donotnecessarilycomplywithcarrierpackagingregulations.
Whenproperlyexecuted,ISTAprocedureswillprovidetangiblebenefitsof:

Reductionindamageandproductloss
Balanceddistributioncosts
Customersatisfactioncontributingtoincreasedmarketshare
Therearethreesectionstothisprocedure:Overview,Testing,andReporting

Testingpresentsthespecificinstructionstodolaboratorytestingand
Reportingindicateswhatdatashallberecordedtosubmitatestreport.
TwosystemsofweightsandmeasuresarepresentedinISTAtestprocedures:Englishsystem(Inch-Pound)orSI(Metric).
Inch-PoundunitsareshownfirstfollowedbytheMetricunitsinparentheses;theremaybeexceptionsinsometables(whenshownseparately).
