•TestelementsmaycomefromISTASeries1,2or3tests,and
•Theymayormaynotevaluatetheprotectionaffordedpackaged-products.Therearethreesections:Overview,TestingandReport
•Overviewprovidesthegeneralknowledgerequiredbeforegoingintothetestinglaboratoryand
•Testingpresentsthespecificinstructionstodothetestinginthelaboratoryand
•ReportindicateswhatdatashallberecordedtosubmitatestreporttoISTA.
TwosystemsofweightsandmeasuresarepresentedinISTAtestprocedures.TheyaretheEnglishsystem(Inch-Pound)
andtheinternationalsystem(Metric).Inch-PoundunitsareshownfirstwithMetricunitsinbrackets,exceptinsometables
wheretheyareshownseparately.Inthecaseoftemperatures,°Cisshownfirstand°Fisinbrackets.
•Eithersystemmaybeusedastheunitofmeasure(standardunits),but
•Thestandardunitschosenshallbeusedconsistentlythroughouttheprocedure.
•Unitsareconvertedtotwosignificantfiguresand
•Notexactequivalents.
